3. McGill University Scholarships

McGill’s Scholarships and Student Aid offers merit-based entrance scholarships to first-time university students entering a full-time undergraduate degree program.

Transfer, Mature, Diploma, Exchange, Special, Part-time and Visiting students are not eligible for entrance scholarships.

There are two types of centrally-administered entrance scholarships

One-year Scholarships, valued at $3,000 (non-renewable)

Major Scholarships, valued between $3,000 and $12,000 (renewable annually up to 3 or 4 years provided criteria for renewal are met)

4. Carleton University Scholarship

 Carleton University allows you to select the best program for you. Submissions for September are now being acknowledged. International Undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. Scholarship Applications are now being accepted.

If you have been admitted to Carleton for fall entry with an admission average of 80 per cent or better, you will automatically be considered for a renewable Entrance Scholarship at the time of admission. You may be offered a renewable Entrance Scholarship provided you are entering Carleton for the first time from high school or CÉGEP and have no previous attendance at post-secondary educational institutions. To be considered for an Entrance Scholarship, we must receive your complete application for admission and all required grades by June 15.

If you are an excellent student transferring from another Canadian university or college program to a full-time undergraduate program at Carleton, you may be eligible for one of our scholarships for transfer students.

Up to 13 students will be selected annually, with one recipient for each province and territory, to receive a $2,000 award in their first year. The Carleton Capital Scholarship is awarded in addition to other Entrance Scholarships. To be eligible for the Carleton Capital Scholarship, students must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons entering the first year of a degree program and pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time. Students must also demonstrate participation in extracurricular activities and a strong academic background (with a minimum admission average of 90 per cent). An application is required. Deadline is March 1.

2023-24 International Special Entrance Scholarship Program

The University of Winnipeg offers International Special Entrance Scholarships to new international students entering studies at the UWinnipeg in the 2023-24 academic year following graduation from a high school outside of Canada.
