Taylor Parker, 29, was found guilty last month of killing 21-year-old Michelle Simmons-Hancock, whose baby later passed away in a hospital after being cut out of her mother’s womb.

In a victim impact statement on Wednesday, Jessica Brooks, the mother of Simmons-Hancock called Parker an “evil piece of flesh demon.”

According to the Texarkana Gazette, Brooks said, “My baby was alive and still fighting for her babies when you cut her open and removed her baby from her stomach.”

Taylor Parker faked so many things

Parker, who had two children but had undergone a hysterectomy, had hunted for a victim while faking a pregnancy – including sharing fake ultrasound scans, hosting a gender reveal party and posing for photo shoots with a false bump. Prosecutors claimed she was terrified her boyfriend of 10 months would leave her.

During the three-week trial, prosecutors argued that Parker disguised herself to appear pregnant, faked ultrasounds, and even had a gender-reveal party in an attempt to stay with her boyfriend before murdering the 35-week pregnant woman and taking the unborn baby.

Parker also watched many videos on YouTube about delivering and caring for infants. She watched a video on the physical examination of a baby born pre-term at 35 weeks on the day of the murder. Simmons-Hancock, who was killed, was 35 weeks pregnant at the time.

Before Parker was handed the death sentence, the jury of six men and six women deliberated for just over an hour.

“You have been sentenced to death under Texas law after being found guilty of capital murder. I formally sentence you to death,” the judge John Tidwell told Parker.
