On October 23, police arrested 33-year-old Keshia Golden and charged her with first-degree murder after her confession that she stabbed 30-year-old Calvin Sidney, her boyfriend. Golden and Sidney were living together, according to court documents.

HOW IT WENT DOWN

Golden knocked a plate of food out of Sidney’s hands early that morning over an argument about who could use the microwave to reheat their food first. At the time of the argument, Sidney’s uncle and Golden’s father were all present at the house.

According to court records, Sidney shoved Golden onto a counter as retaliation before his uncle intervened and separated the two. Witnesses claim Sidney left the kitchen and went to the bedroom to rest.

But Golden wouldn’t let things be; she continued to the bedroom, armed with a kitchen knife to quarrel with Sidney. All efforts by Sidney’s uncle to prevent Golden from getting closer to Sidney failed as she went around him and stabbed Sidney in the thigh, tearing his femoral artery, according to court documents.
