“We are horrified to hear of the troubling allegations made against one of our recently hired doctors. The doctor was immediately fired and no patients or staff members came into contact with him once we learned of these charges and his arrest at home this morning,” said Alexandria Deiro Stubbs, director of public relations.

“Our hiring procedures for doctors are very stringent and involve background checks, several reference checks. It also involved other well-accepted best practices. We’ll keep working closely with all of our law enforcement partners. As always, our primary goal is the welfare of our patients and staff,” he added.

According to the authorities, there is no evidence that the hospital’s equipment was used in connection with the crimes.
